The program provides the theoretical and technical foundation required by the DGAC for students to take and pass the corresponding conceptual exams.
Afterward, they must complete six months of professional internship at an authorized Aircraft Maintenance Center (CMA).
Once this stage and the practical exam are successfully completed, the DGAC grants the official Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic license.

Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics
The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics program trains students to join the air transport sector, one of the fastest-growing industries in Chile in recent decades. This sector has an extensive airport network made up of airports and airfields distributed throughout the country, enabling connections between major cities, remote areas, and rural regions.
In this context, aircraft mechanical maintenance is a fundamental activity to ensure air navigation safety. The General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) is the authority that regulates and oversees this activity, setting standards, training requirements, and granting the licenses that authorize professional practice.
Graduates who obtain their license can work in:
🔹 Aircraft Maintenance Centers (CMA)
🔹 Passenger and cargo air transport companies
🔹 Companies providing specialized aerial services
🔹 Aeroclubs and sport aviation organizations
During their training, students develop the ability to:
🔹 Apply mechanical maintenance procedures on aircraft
🔹 Operate in highly regulated and safe environments
🔹 Collaborate in specialized technical processes in accordance with aviation regulations
🔹 Actively participate in real work environments through practical training
The program encourages the participation of aerospace companies through internships and on-site learning activities during the two years of training.
In some cases, companies may require health certificates compatible with the position as a prerequisite for internships or workforce entry.
